Ingredients

1 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 whole eggs beaten
2 cups flour
4 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts


 
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375F

Cream together shortening, sugars, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Fold in eggs and beat entire mixture.

Sift flour, soda and salt and add to mixture

Stir in nuts and chips and mix thoroughly.

Drop by small spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.

Bake for 8 - 10 minutes
